Wikipedia - LNH Division 2

LNH Division 2, doing business as Proligue, is a professional handball league, and the second level of the French men's handball pyramid. It is organized by the Ligue Nationale de Handball, under delegation from the French Handball Federation. Founded in 1952, it is currently contested by 14 teams.
It was administered by the French federation until 2016, when the LNH took over and rebranded it as Proligue to match the name of its top tier, the Starligue.

The France Proligue is the premier professional handball league in France, serving as the second tier of the country's national handball competition system. Established to showcase emerging talent and provide a competitive platform for clubs aspiring to reach the top level, the Proligue features a dynamic and highly competitive roster of teams from across France. The league operates on a promotion and relegation system with the top teams earning promotion to the LNH Division 1, while the lowest-ranked teams face relegation to the Nationale 1. Known for its passionate fan base and intense matches, the France Proligue plays a vital role in the development of French handball, fostering local talent and contributing to the sport's growth nationwide.
